Piñata Resident FAQs

For renters who have a Piñata membership through their landlord or property management company (as a building amenity or resident benefits package) and whose resident portal, property management software or rent payment platform also includes Piñata’s Offer Marketplace.

I have a Piñata membership, and my resident portal, property management software system or rent payment processing platform also has Piñata's Offer Marketplace. How do they work together?

They’re two separate programs, both run by Piñata.

  • Your Piñata Rewards Membership: your premium membership, included in your resident benefits package or directly from your landlord/property management company. You earn points for paying rent on time and redeem them for rewards (with no purchase required). You also get the full Offer Marketplace, which includes deals from brands.
  • Offer Marketplace in your portal, software or payment platform: you earn points for actions on that platform and use them to unlock brand deals from Piñata’s Offer Marketplace. Deals give you extra bonuses and special discounts when you make a purchase from a brand on the Offer Marketplace.

Can I combine my points?

No. These are two different programs with two different point systems. Points earned on your portal, software or payment platform stay there and can only be used on the Offer Marketplace on that platform. Points earned through your Piñata Premium Rent Rewards membership stay in the Piñata Rewards experience on the Piñata app or website. You can’t move points between the two programs, and the two point types (platform points and Piñata Points) are not interchangeable.

  • Piñata Points: in the Piñata app or on the web experience at pinata.ai.
  • Platform points: on your portal, software or payment platform.
